Evening Stroll (by Shirley)

Hello everyone I hope you are doing well.

I have another design today using the beautiful new Fabulous Flappers set.

I started with a piece of mixed media paper and adhered a die cut clock with a Gel medium and then brushed Gesso over everything.   When dry I painted a few colours of Acrylic glaze over top and spritzed with water to blend and added the painted die cut hands to the clock.    I used the top of a tree from Patchwork Landscape around the outside edge.

The pretty lady was stamped with Cobalt Archival ink, coloured with Intense pencils, cut out and popped up on the background.  I added lots of glitter around her shawl's trim, a little difficult to see in the photos.

Thanks for your visit and have a great day,
Shirley

  4. What a lovely and unusual background with this pretty and stylish flapper girl. I adore the colour choice as i think it gives a truly decadent feel, and the glitter on her cape works perfectly. x

  8. A very intriguing background, especially with the way you used the patchwork trees around the edges so subtly echoing the pattern in her shawl. I love your use of the cobalt ink for stamping the image & as always your use of the pink for matting in order to bring out the pinks in her dress & headdress.

  9. I love your background! I will be looking for the card you used as it has taken a lot of paint and ink and yet is still good! The fact that you coloured her in blue makes her a bit softer when compared to using black. Every little stamped, painted, inked detail on this works - it's perfect! TFS Karen x

  10. Stunning card Shirley. Love the use of the clock. I prepped some cards using the Flappers last night and used the clock from the Eccentric Edwardian.
