I have one more Fabulous Flapper from the new set to show you. What an amazing stamp set, the ladies are gorgeous.
The
background was created using Peacock Feathers Distress ink with an
acrylic block. I stamped the blossoms from the set around the
parameter with both Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean Distress Inks.
The lady and urn were stamped with Cobalt Archival ink and coloured with
Prisma pencils. I added rhinestones to the bouquet she is holding and
pearls to the die cut flower centers. The sentiment is from Birthday Words.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
Shirley
Beautiful colours and that feather looks great!
ReplyDeleteShirley, I love the ethereal background you have created, marble like. Red and turquoise is an unexpected combination, I have used it myself in the past and it can be so striking! Your colouring on the lady is super and it almost makes me think we are watching her in twilight. Have a good weekend. Elaine x
ReplyDeleteI agree that the background looks like marble. It was the first thing I thought when I saw it. I would not have thought of putting these colours together but it works brilliantly. I love this card.
ReplyDeletethe background defo looks like marble - brilliant effect on a beautiful card xx
ReplyDeleteLove the background and gorgeous colours you have used.xxx
ReplyDeleteSimply Gorgeous Shirley. Love the color combo. Very clever use of the flower spray to make a boarder especially in the two colors. It looks really effective. The background you have created with your inks and block is just amazing.

Lovely card.
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely, and the acrylic block background looks good with the blossoms stamped round the edge and the urn, flowers and pretty gems which complement it perfectly. The flapper has been coloured beautifully with the Prisma pencils, and the dark feather behind highlights the lighter colour flowers perfectly. x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous stamping - I love making my own backgrounds with ink pads onto a block - wonderful way to create one off papers. I love the lady you have stamped and you've coloured her beautifully too thank you for sharing Karen x
ReplyDeleteGreat card Love your green and red contrast!!!

The die-cut flowers really echo her bouquet wonderfully & I love the way the blue & green blossoms round the edge add to the decadence of the whole as well as leading the eye inwards.
