Christmas Light (by Natalie)

Hello everyone, I hope that you are all keeping well. I have a project to share with you today on behalf of our lovely Design Team member Natalie. She has created a fabulous Christmas card for your inspiration.

Natalie diecut a tag shape which was then embossed with a knit pattern. She used Fired Brick Distress Ink to create some ink blending around the outside of the tag with a brush. The image itself was stamped onto mixed media card with a water resistant ink pad and painted with watercolours. The image was cut out with the same die and trimmed with a trimmer. It needed to be adhered with a wet glue as the base was textured. Natalie die cut a reinforcement circle using red card. The foliage embellishment was stamped onto smooth card and fussy cut. The poinsettias are on smooth card also, but stamped with alcohol resistant ink and coloured with alcohol pens. The sentiment was stamped onto smooth card and mounted onto the same red as the reinforcer. The Kraft card blank was stamped with brown ink for a tone on tone effect.

Thanks for stopping by, Natalie will be back next month with more projects to share with you. Take care xx

  2. A beautiful tag that Natalie made, and love the effect of the added stamped and coloured piece over the embossed knitted background, and the added flowers are so pretty, and love the look of the kraft card with the added tone on tone leaves. x
